Extensions

Q. HOW LONG DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?

A. Our natural lashes have a growth cycle in which the lashes regrow. Eyelash extensions last from 2-5 weeks as part of the normal lash cycle. How long the eyelash extension will last depends on your own natural eyelash growth and how well you take care of the extensions. The eyelash extensions fall out together with your natural lashes. A healthy person loses between 1-5 eyelashes every day, the loss of eyelash extensions are more noticeable due to them being thicker and darker than your natural lashes. Touch ups are done to replace any naturally falling lashes and keep your lashes looking their best.

A. Because sugar can remove very short hair, in what's called the antigen stage (pulling from the root). That starts to deplete the hair follicle after time, resulting in your treatments being further apart.Typically 3-6 weeks, but it can vary from person to person.

A. You sure can. There are no toxic chemicals that could possibly enter your blood stream.

Q. CAN I SUGAR IF I'M MENSTRUATING?

A. Yes, But you will typically be much more sensitive.

Q. WHAT IF I'M USING RETIN-A OR RENOVA?

A. These products cause thinning and shedding of the skin. Please wait after the initial shedding process has ended, about 25 days.

Airbrush Tanning

Q. HOW LONG WILL MY AIRBRUSH TAN LAST?

A. An airbrush tan will last anywhere from 7-12 days, on average. The amount of physical activity, after care, and proper preparation for the tan are all factors of how many days one can expect their tan to last.

Q. WILL I LOOK ORANGE FROM AN AIRBRUSH TAN?

A. Never. Our airbrush tan solution is derived from sugar beets. It works with your skins melanin. We guarantee the highest quality, golden-brown results.

Q. WHAT IF I HAVE VERY FAIR SKIN?

A. Our airbrush tan solution will react naturally with each specific skin tone. Ederra airbrush technicians will custom blend a formulation specific to each client's natural base color. However, if it is your first time tanning, or you have an extremely fair complexion, we suggest choosing a lighter tone to ensure satisfaction. Very fair complexed individuals may require a follow up session 12-24 hours later.

Q. DHA & THE FDA

A. The active ingredient in self tanning products is dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA has been used in cosmetic preparations for almost 30 years and was listed with the FDA in 1973. It is declared safe and suitable for use in cosmetics and used to color the skin. DHA is derived from glycerin (vegetable origin) which is a commonly used cosmetic and food ingredient. DHA is not absorbed into the body and poses no possibility of toxicity.

Q. HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY AIRBRUSH TAN?

1. Thoroughly exfoliate and shave prior to your treatment.
2. Avoid wearing make up, moisturizers, and deodorant to your appointment, as this acts as a barrier to the spray and stops the color from developing properly.
3. Wear dark colored, loose fitting clothing and sandals following your treatment.
4. Wax and have a manicure and pedicure done BEFORE your treatment.

Q. HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY AIRBRUSH TAN?

1. Do not shower or sweat for 8-12 hours following your appointment.
2. Moisturize using a paraben-free lotion at least twice daily for a minimum of one week. Keeping moisturized will ensure an even, flawless fade.
3. Avoid chlorinated jacuzzis, saunas, and steam rooms.
